Reaction Steps

This compound was prepared following the procedure described in example 13 (part D) starting with 0.06 g (0.19 mmol) of 5-methoxy-3-piperidin-4-yl-1-thiophen-2-ylmethyl-1H-indole (example 89, part B) and 0.064 g (0.23 mmol) of 2-bromomethyl-4-methoxy-benzoic acid methyl ester. After standard work-up and purification by chromatography using a C18 column, 0.018 g (19% of yield) of the expected acid were obtained.
