A solution of (2S)-3-{3-Allyl-4-[3-(4-phenoxy-phenoxy)-propoxy]-phenyl}-2-methoxy-propionic acid ethyl ester, from Example 148, Step B, was dissolved in ethanol and treated with H2 under balloon pressure. Filtered through a pad of celite and concentrated to dryness. The compound thus obtained was treated under, standard hydrolysis procedure C to give the title compound.
