A solution of (2S)-3-(4-{3-[4-(4-Fluoro-benzoyl)-phenoxy]-propoxy}-phenyl)-2-methoxy-propionic acid (85 mg) (Example 95) and KOH (100 mg) in chlorobenzene (0.3 ml) with water (1 ml) were heated in sealed tube at 200° C. for 3 days. Extracted with ethyl acetate, dried and concentrated to dryness to give a crude product which was purified by chromatography to give the title compound. MS (ES) for C26H26O7 [M+H]+: 451.
