Procedure
Ethyl 2-methoxyimino-2-(5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)-acetate (syn isomer) (0.4 g.) and 1N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide (2.1 ml.) were treated according to a similar manner to that of Example 1(a)(5) to give 2-methoxyimino-2-(5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)acetic acid (syn isomer) (0.25 g.), mp 168° to 171° C. (dec.).
