Reaction Steps

To a solution of 0.300 g of the above sodium (3R,4S)-3-[2-(2-chloroacetamidothiazol-4-yl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-4-(1-methyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)thio-2-oxoazetidine-1-sulfonate in 4 ml of water and 4 ml of a buffer (pH 6.56) is added under ice-cooling 0.0689 g of sodium monomethyl dithiocarbamate, and the mixture is stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The same procedure as Example 3B yields 0.106 g of sodium (3R,4S)-3-[2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-4-(1-methyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)thio-2-oxoazetidine-1-sulfonate.
