- 122 °C
Procedure
A solution of 2-Chloro-6-methyl-8-propylpurine (from Step 1 of Example 32) (0.1 g, 0.47 mmol) in morpholine (2 ml) was placed in a steel-bomb, and the mixture was heated at 122° C. for 18 hours. The reaction was cooled, and the mixture was concentrated in vacuo. The residue was dissolved in CHCl3 (2 ml) and was purified by flash-chromatography on silica-gel using 5% MeOH in CHCl3 giving the titled compound as an amorphous solid (0.1 g, 87%).
