To a solution of 3-(3-Nitro-4-fluoro-benzoylamino)-5-(2,6-dichloro-phenylcarbamoyl)-6,6-dimethyl-5,6-dihydro-4H-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazole-2-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (0.28 g, 0.48 mmol) in dry THF (10 mL), N-methylpiperazine (0.16 L, 1.40 mmol) was added. The reaction was stirred at room temperature for four hours, the solvent removed under reduced pressure and the crude product purified by flash chromatography (CH2Cl2/MeOH 90/10) to afford 0.20 g (yield 70%) of the title compound.
