Procedure
Following the same procedure described for 16 and starting from (2S)-2-(4-{[4-(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-yl]amino}phenyl)propanoic acid (3) (0.18 g, 0.57 mmol) and L-valine methyl ester hydrochloride (0.095 g, 0.57 mmol), after workup compound 17 (0.093 g, 0.23 mmol) was isolated as a white solid (69%).
