tert-Butyl (3S,4R)-4-hydroxy-7-(5-(3-phenyl-4-(trifluoromethyl)isoxazol-5-yl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)chroman-3-ylcarbamate (500 mg) was dissolved in 30% TFA solution in DCM (3673 μl). After 2 h the reaction mixture was concentrated to give (3R,4S)-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-7-(5-(3-phenyl-4-(trifluoromethyl)isoxazol-5-yl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)chroman-3-ylcarbamate, TFA salt (quant.): LCMS=445.0 [M+H]+; 1H NMR and HPLC as in Ex. 1.
