Prepared as in Example 166d from 2,6-dinitrobenzonitrile and cyclopentanol in 78% yield as a light tan solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 1.64 (m, 2H), 1.77 (m, 4H), 1.97 (m, 2H), 5.14 (m, 1H), 7.73 (m, 1H), 7.88 (m, 2H).
