Prepared as in Example 231c from 2-(3-hydroxy-2,2-dimethylpropoxy)-6-nitrobenzonitrile (Example 233d) and acetyl chloride in 66% yield. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 1.04 (s, 6H), 2.00 (s, 3H), 3.95 (s, 2H), 4.02 (s, 2H), 7.70-7.72 (m, 1H), 7.85-7.92 (m, 2H).
