To a solution of methyl 2-(tert-butoxy)-2-(7-(8-fluoro-5-methylchroman-6-yl)-3,5-dimethyl-2-phenylpyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-6-yl)acetate (350 mg, 0.676 mmol) in acetonitrile (20 mL) was added N-bromosuccinimide (119 mg, 0.676 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at r.t. for 1 h. The solvent was evaported and the residue was purified by silica gel chromatography to afford (210 mg, 52%) of the title compound.
