4-{(S)-1-[(S)-6-(2-Hydroxy-2-methyl-propyl)-2-oxo-6-phenyl-[1,3]oxazinan-3-yl]-ethyl}-benzoic acid hydrazide (300 mg) taken up in triethyl orthoformate (2.5 mL) was stirred at 90° C. for 3 h. After cooling to ambient temperature, the mixture was purified by chromatography on silica gel (CH2Cl2/MeOH 99:1->97:3) to afford the title compound.
