Fmoc-L-Lys(Boc)-L-Glu(OBzl)-OH (69.0 g, 0.1 mol) was dissolved in 300 ml of 20% piperidine in dioxane and stirred for 1 hour at room temperature. The solvent was evaporated in vacuum and residual oil was dissolved in 0.1% AcOH. The precipitate was filtered off and washed with 0.1% AcOH and water to neutral pH. The yield was 43.7 (94%). Rf=0.5 (CHCl3:MeOH: 32% AcOH=5:3:1).
