Reaction Conditions

Temperature90 °C

Reaction Steps

400 mg (1.28 mmol) of compound 29 are added to 10 ml of anhydrous N,N-dimethylformamide under a nitrogen atmosphere. 1.35 g of anhydrous potassium carbonate (7.5 eq) and then 0.35 ml of 4-chlorobutyronitrile (3 eq) are successively added to this suspension. The reaction is stirred at 90° C. for 18 hours. The solvents are evaporated off. The residue is taken up in CH2Cl2 and washed twice with water. The organic phase is dried over MgSO4 and then evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue obtained is purified by chromatography on a column of silica treated with triethylamine (eluent: 7/3 CH2Cl2/EtOAc) to give 180 mg (37%) of compound 80 and 274 mg (56%) of derivative 81.
