Reaction Steps
32 g of 85% phosphoric acid was thoroughly mixed with 10 g of vanadium pentoxide. The mixture was left to stand for 3 days. The mixture was then washed with methyl alcohol to remove unreacted phosphoric acid. The product was dried and calcined in air at 500° C. for 3 hours.
