Reaction Steps
This bath contained 22.5 g/liter of copper (II) ion, 1.2 g/liter of ammonia, 175 g/liter of pyrophosphoric acid and 1 g/l of a brightener and had a pH of 8.1 to 8.5. The sample was immersed in this bath at 55° C. for 45 to 60 minutes while applying an electric current of 30 A/foot2.
