Reaction Steps
The above 1-benzyl-4-[3-(4 -pyrrolidinobenzoyl)propyl]piperidine (0.55 g) was treated with one equivalent of fumaric acid (0.16 g) and the reaction product was recrystallized from ethanol to give 0.7 g of 1-benzyl-4-(3-(4-pyrrolidinobenzoyl)propyl]piperidine fumarate as colorless crystals melting at 220°-222° C.
