Procedure

To a solution of the product of Example 49 (60 mg) in dry methanol (12 ml) was added 10% Pd-on-C (100 mg) and the resulting suspension was stirred in an ice bath for one hour under an atmosphere of hydrogen. The reaction mixture was then filtered and concentrated to an oil in vacuo. Chromatography on silica eluting with hexane in an increasing acetone gradient then gave the title compound as a foam (44 mg).
