3.72 g (6.51 mmol) (R)-2-(4-benzyloxy-3,5-dimethyl-phenyl)-1-carboxy-ethyl 4-(2-oxo-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-1,3-benzodiazepin-3-yl)-piperidine-1-carboxylate in 50 mL DCM were combined with 300 mg 10% Pd/C and shaken at RT and 3000 hPa hydrogen until the reaction came to an end. The catalyst was suction filtered and the solvent evaporated down i.vac. The residue was triturated with DIPE and suction filtered.
