Procedure
In a 1 l reactor, 10 g of 4-nitro-3-fluorophenol (0.0637 mol) with a catalytic quantity of palladium adsorbed on carbon (10% by mass) in ethanol (250 ml) is hydrogenated for 2 hours under a hydrogen pressure of 1.5 bars. The reaction medium is then filtered on a millipore filter then rinsed with ethanol, followed by evaporation to dryness and the residue is triturated with diethyl ether and the reaction medium stirred in a mixture of diisopropyl ether and isopentane (1:4). After filtration of the solid and drying, a beige-coloured powder is obtained.
