In a manner similar to that of Example 6(l), by reaction of 1 g (1.55 mmol) of (E)-7-{4-[2-(3,4-bis(tert-butyldimethylsilanyloxymethyl)phenyl)ethyl]-2-thienyl}-3-ethylnon-6-en-3-ol with 3.7 mL (3.7 mmol) of 1.0 M tetrabutylammonium fluoride solution, the desired product is obtained in the form of white crystals (m.p.=85-86° C.; m=580 mg; Y=90%).
