Reaction Steps
(Step 1) 2-[3,5-Diallyloxy-2-ethyl-6-(4-methanesulfonylbenzoyl)phenyl]-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N-(2-methoxyethyl)acetamide (450 mg, 0.76 mmol) obtained in Example 96, Step 1 was dissolved in N,N-dimethylformamide (10 mL), and a 60% sodium hydride dispersion in mineral oil (50 mg, 1.3 mmol) was added thereto in an atmosphere of argon with stirring under ice-cooling. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes, and methyl iodide (0.05 mL, 0.8 mmol) was added dropwise thereto, followed by further stirring for 12 hours. After the reaction mixture was ice-cooled, a saturated aqueous solution of ammonium chloride was added thereto to stop the reaction, followed by extraction with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with a saturated aqueous solution of sodium chloride, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/hexane=2/1) to obtain 2-[3,5-diallyloxy-2-ethyl-6-(4-methanesulfonylbenzoyl)phenyl]-N,N-bis(2-methoxyethyl)acetamide (95 mg, 21%).
