Procedure

0.21 g of 1-[2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-(4-methylpiperazino)ethyl]-4-[4-(6-fluoro-1,2-benzisoxazol-3-yl)butyl]piperazine was dissolved in 2.0 ml of ethanol, and 2.0 ml of an ethanol solution of 0.16 g of maleic acid was added, followed by allowing to stand for 2 hours. The precipitated crystals were collected by filtration and washed with ethanol to give 0.30 g of 1-[2-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-(4-methylpiperazino)ethyl]-4-[4-(6-fluoro-1,2-benzisoxazol-3-yl)butyl]piperazine trimaleate as crystals.
