Trifluoroacetic acid (1 mL) was added to a solution of tert-butyl (3R,6S)-6-(2,3-difluorophenyl)-1-[2-(methylsulfonyl)ethyl]-2-oxoazepan-3-ylcarbamate (23.7 mg, 0.053 mmol) in dichloromethane (2 mL). After 4 h, the solution was concentrated. Saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution was added and the mixture was extracted with dichloromethane (3×). The combined organic extracts were washed with saturated brine, dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated to give the title compound. MS 347 (M+1).
