Procedure

Methyl iodide (0.94 ml, 15.1 mmol) was added to a suspension of 4-methyl-7-trifluoromethyl-3,4-dihydro-1H-quinazoline-2-thione (1.24 g, 5.04 mmol) in acetone (15 ml). The mixture was stirred for 3 hours (r.t.), diluted with diethyl ether and the title compound (1.66 g, 85%) was isolated from the reaction mixture by filtration as a white solid.
