The title compound was prepared from the 2-(4-cyano-3-methylphenyl)-3-cyclopentyl-2,3,3a,4-tetrahydrochromeno[4,3-c]pyrazole-7-carboxylic acid prepared in Example 61 using chiral resolution (e.g., Method G (Chiralcel OJ-H 30×250 mm; 60% methanol/carbon dioxide). Second eluting peak: tR=5.83 minutes (Chiralcel OJ-H 4.6×250 mm; 50% methanol/carbon dioxide).
