N-(9-Methyl-9-azabicyclo[3.3.1]non-3-yl)-2-phenylbenzoxazole-7-carboxamide was prepared from 2-phenylbenzoxazole-7-carboxylic acid and 3-amino-9-methyl-9-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane dihydrochloride using the method outlined in Step C of Example 7. This compound was obtained in 43% yield and obtained as an off-white solid: mp 208-210° C.; 1H NMR (500 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.95 (br s, 1H), 8.23 (d, J=6.9 Hz, 2H), 8.20 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.71 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.57-7.65 (m, 3H), 4.58 (q, J=7.1 Hz, 1H), 3.18 (br s, 2H), 2.58 (m, 5H), 2.02-2.25 (m, 3H), 1.55 (s, 3H), 1.23 (m, 3H); MS (APCI) m/z 411 [M+H]+
