N-(4-fluorophenyl)-N-(1-(4-oxocyclohexyl)piperidin-4-yl)acetamide (100 mg; 0.3 mmol; 1 eq.) was dissolved in pyridine (2 mL). O-ethylhydroxylamine (22 mg, 0.36 mmol; 1.2 eq.) was added. The solution was heated to 80° C. for 30 min. Saturated NaHCO3 (10 mL) was added and the solution was extracted with EtOAc (2×20 mL). The combined organic extracts were dried over Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The crude residue was purified by reversed-phase HPLC (2-99% CH3CN/H2O gradient with 0.05% TFA) to provide the desired product. LC/MS m/z 333.2, Retention time=1.79; 10-99% CH3CN/H2O gradient with 0.05% TFA).
