Procedure

To a solution of (R)-1-Chloro-3-{2-[2-(5-methyl-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridin-2-yl)-ethyl]-4-thiophen-2-yl-imidazol-1-yl}-propan-2-ol (2 mg, 0.005 mmol) in DMSO (0.5 mL) was added a 2M solution of dimethylamine in methanol (100 μL, 0.2 mmol), the reaction vessel was capped and stirred at 100° C. for 30 minutes. The volatiles were removed in vacuo and the residue purified by preparative LC-MS to yield the title compound. 100% yield, LC-MS: m/z=411.4 (MH+), tR=0.33 minutes, method B.
