To a solution of (S)-2-tert-butoxy-2-(7-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-methyl-2-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-b]pyridine-6-yl)benzo[d]thiazol-6-yl)ethyl pivalate: (68 mg, 0.115 mmol) in THF/CH3OH (1.5 mL/1.5 mL) was added 2N NaOH (0.57 mL, 1.15 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated at 45° C. for 2 h and cooled to rt. The reaction solution is quenched with saturated ammonium chloride solution and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic solution is washed with water, brine, dried and concentrated to give crude product which was carried to next reaction without further purification. LCMS-ESI+: calc'd for C27H27ClN4O2S: 507.16 (M+H+); Found: 507.2 (M+H+).
