To a solution of 6-chloro-7-(4-(3-phenylcyclobutylcarbamoyl)phenoxy)chroman-4-carboxylic acid (0.067 g, 0.140 mmol) in methanol (2 ml) was added 0.5M sodium methanolate in methanol (0.294 ml, 0.147 mmol), and the reaction was stirred for 16 hours. The reaction was concentrated to yield 70 mg of the title compound (99.9% yield). MS (apci) m/z=471.1 (M-Na+2H).
