2-Nitro-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonyl chloride (839 mg, 2.9 mmol) was added to a solution of 7-chloro-4-methoxy-quinolin-8-ylamine (Intermediate 70) (550 mg, 2.6 mmol) in pyridine(10 ml) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 18 h. The solvent was removed in vacuo. The residue was dissolved EtOAc (100 ml), washed sat. sodium bicarbonate solution, dried (MgSO4) and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound (830 mg, 69%).
