Bromine (7.48 μl, 0.15 mmol) was added to a solution of 1-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-2-methyl-1,4-dihydro-2H-3-thia-2,4,5-triaza-phenanthrene 3,3-dioxide 382 (50 mg, 0.15 mmol) in dioxane:chloroform (1:1, 4 ml) at 0° C. and the mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 1 h. The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and dried. The resulting solid was triturated from MeOH to give the title compound (17 mg, 28%).
