2-tert-Butoxy-2-(1-(4-chlorophenyl)-7-(2-cyclopentylethyl)-3-methylnaphthalen-2-yl)acetic acid (90) was prepared using the procedure of Example 87 from 2-tert-butoxy-2-(1-(4-chlorophenyl)-7-(cyclopentylethynyl)-3-methylnaphthalen-2-yl)acetic acid. 1H-NMR: 400 MHz, (CD3OD) δ: 7.69 (d, J=9 Hz, 1H), 7.63 (s, 1H), 7.56 (m, 3H), 7.29 (m, 2H), 6.99 (s, 1H), 5.18 (s, 1H), 2.60 (m, 2H), 2.58 (s, 3H), 1.71 (m, 3H), 1.52 (m, 6H), 1.07 (m, 2H), 0.98 (s, 9H). HPLC (Kinetex 2.6u, 50×4.6 mm, 2-100% MeCN/H2O+0.05% HOAc, 5.0 min run): tR (min)=4.54.
