Prepared in a similar manner to ethyl 2-tert-butoxy-2-(1-hydroxy-3-methylnaphthalen-2-yl)acetate of Example 120, except using ethyl 2-(7-chloro-1-hydroxy-3-methylnaphthalen-2-yl)-2-hydroxyacetate. 1H-NMR: (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 9.01 (s, 1H), 8.22 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.56 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1H), 7.35 (dd, J=8.6, 2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.13 (s, 1H), 5.49 (s, 1H), 4.22-4.08 (m, 2H), 2.56 (s, 3H), 1.31 (s, 9H), 1.19 (t, J=7.0 Hz, 3H).
