Reaction Steps

To a mixture of tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-4-(2-(trifluoromethyl)allyl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (100 mg, 0.32 mmol) in EtOH (5 mL) was added 10% Pd/C (20 mg) and a drop of AcOH. The mixture was stirred at 40° C. for 16 hrs under H2 atmosphere. The reaction mixture was filtered through a celite pad; the filtrate was concentrated to get the title compound which was used directly for the next step without purification. LC-MS: m/z 212.2 (M+H)+
