3-(4-((Tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy)cyclohexyl-2-cyclopentyl-2-hydroxysuccinic acid (190 mg, 0.46 mmol) was dissolved in acetic anhydride (7.0 ml), and the mixture was stirred at 130° C. for 15 hr. The mixture was allowed to cool, and excess acetic anhydride was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue was chromatographed on silica gel column (hexane:ethyl acetate=95:5) to give the title compound as a light yellow compound (65 mg, yield 37%).
