In a sealed 5 ml microwave tubed, a suspension of 2-chloro-N-(2-pyrrolidin-1-ylethyl)quinoline-4-carboxamide (preparation 11) (200 mg, 0.66 mmol), 4-[[4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)phenyl]methyl]morpholine (preparation 2) (399 mg, 1.31 mmol), potassium phosphate (419 mg, 1.97 mmol) and tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium (0) (22 mg, 0.02 mmol) in DMF/Water 3/1 (4 ml) was heated at 130° C. under microwave irradiation for 30 minutes. The reaction was filtered through Celite™ and solvents were removed under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was taken up in DCM (50 ml) and washed with NaHCO3 saturated aqueous solution (25 ml). The organic layer was separated and dried over MgSO4 before concentration to dryness. The reaction crude was purified by preparative HPLC. The fractions containing product were pooled together and freeze dried to obtain the desired compound as a white solid (220 mg, 0.49 mmol, Yield 57%).
