The title compound 12 was prepared from 4-ethoxybenzaldehyde (0.22 mL, 1.60 mmol) and compound 11 (1.03 g, 2.88 mmol) in a manner similar to that described for 3 in 92.5% (342 mg) yield as a yellow solid.
