NaB(OAc)3H (640 mg) was added in portions to the solution of methyl-6-(4-(3-oxopropyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-1H-[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-c]pyridine-4-carbonitrile, methylamine (1.5 ml, 2M in methanol) in THF (5 ml). The mixture was stirred at rt for 3 hours, then diluted with ethyl acetate (100 ml), washed with sodium carbonate (100 ml), brine (100 ml), dried over sodium sulphate, solvent removed. The crude product was used for next step without further purification (260 mg). MS m/z 375 (M+H).
