A solution of 3-[(4,7-dimethyl-3-oxo-2,3,4,10-tetrahydro-9-oxa-1,2,4a-triaza-phenanthren-6-yl)-methyl-amino]-azetidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.018 g, 0.043 mmol) in TFA (0.5 mL) and DCM (3 mL) was stirred at 25° C. for 2 h. The solvent was removed in vacuo to give 6-(azetidin-3-yl-methyl-amino)-4,7-dimethyl-2,10-dihydro-9-oxa-1,2,4a-triaza-phenanthren-3-one trifluoroacetic acid (0.010 g, 56%). LC/MS (Table 1, Method 5) Rt=1.994 min.; MS m/z: 316 [M+H]+.
