Reaction Steps

A mixture of 4-methyl-6-nitro-7-phenoxy-2,10-dihydro-9-oxa-1,2,4a-triaza-phenanthren-3-one (0.090 g, 0.25 mmol) and Raney Ni (0.030 g) in MeOH (5 mL) was stirred overnight under an atmosphere of H2 (30 psi) at ambient temperature. The reaction mixture was filtered and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give 6-amino-4-methyl-7-phenoxy-2,10-dihydro-9-oxa-1,2,4a-triaza-phenanthren-3-one as a colorless oil (0.090 g, crude), which was used in next step without further purification.
