Reaction Steps

To a mixture of tert-butyl 6-hydroxy-2-methyl-1,4-oxazepane-4-carboxylate (D1, 494.00 mg, 2.14 mmol, 1.00 eq) in MeOH (5.00 mL), was added HCl/MeOH (15.00 mL) in one portion at 30° C. under N2. The mixture was stirred at 30° C. for 5 hours. TLC showed the reaction was completed. The mixture was concentrated in vacuum to afford 2-methyl-1,4-oxazepan-6-ol (385.00 mg, crude) as yellow oil.
