To a solution of methyl 3-(4-benzyloxyazepan-1-yl)sulfonyl-4-(2-fluoroethyl)benzoate (180.00 mg, 400.42 umol, 1.00 Eq) in THF (5 mL) and H2O (1 mL). The formed mixture was stirred at 25-50° C. for 3 hr. The reaction mixture was neutralized with 1N HCl solution and concentrated to give the crude product 3-(4-benzyloxyazepan-1-yl)sulfonyl-4-(2-fluoroethyl)benzoic acid (160.00 mg, 367.39 umol, 91.75% yield).
