A mixture of 7-bromo-2-morpholin-4-yl-quinoxaline [intermediate example 2.1] (50 mg), 2-phenyl-N-[4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-phenyl]-isobutyramide (87 mg, 0.24 mmol) and Pd(PPh3)4 in 1:1 Toluene/EtOH (2 mL) was treated with 1M aq. sodium carbonate solution and heated at 120° C. under microwave irradiation for 15 minutes. The reaction was partitioned between EtOAc and water, the phases separated and the organic layer concentrated in vacuo. The reaction was repeated and the combined crude products were purified by trituration with DMSO to give the title compound (108 mg). UPLC-MS: RT=1.36 min; m/z (ES+) 453.27 [MH+]; required MW=452.56.
