Ethyl 4-(2-bromo-4-fluorophenyl)-2-chloro-6-methyl-1,4-dihydropyrimidine-5-carboxylate (15.04 g, 40 mmol) was reacted with 1H-1,2,4-triazole (8.28 g, 120 mmol) according to the procedure as described in Example 48, Step A to give the title compound as a yellow solid (9.8 g, 60%).
