To a solution of (1R,3S)-3-(2-(5-chloro-1-tosyl-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl)-5-fluoropyrimidin-4-ylamino)-1-(methylsulfonylmethyl)cyclohexanol, 49f, (0.045 g, 0.074 mmol) in MeOH (2 mL) was added NaOMe (2 mL of 25% w/v, 9.255 mmol). The reaction mixture was allowed to stir at room temperature for 5 minutes, after which the mixture was quenched with the addition of aqueous saturated NH4Cl solution and then diluted with EtOAc. The layers were separated and the organic was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, filtered and evaporated to dryness. The crude residue was purified via silica gel chromatography (0-10% MeOH/CH2Cl2 gradient).
