Following a procedure analogous to that for the synthesis of Example 106, (3-(4-chlorophenoxy)phenyl)methanamine (ASDI, 533 mg, 2.28 mmol) and butyraldehyde (210 μL, 2.28 mmol) were converted to the title compound (211 mg, 32%). 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 7.41-7.19 (m, 4H), 7.14-7.06 (m, 1H), 6.99-6.87 (m, 3H), 3.98-3.86 (m, 2H), 2.80-2.66 (m, 2H), 1.66 (quin, J=7.5 Hz, 2H), 1.42-1.24 (m, 2H), 1.00-0.81 (m, 3H); MS (ESI+) m/z 290.1 (M+H)+.
