Following a procedure analogous to that for the synthesis of Intermediate 271F, 3-benzyl 1-methyl 4-(4-(dibutylcarbamoyl)-1H-imidazol-2-yl)isophthalate (200 mg, 0.4 mmol) and (3-bromopropyl)benzene (97 mg, 0.48 mmol) were converted the title compound (187 mg, 74%). 1H NMR (CDCl3) 8.65 (d, J=1.6 Hz, 1H), 8.20 (dd, J=8.0, 1.6 Hz, 1H), 7.53 (s, 1H), 7.43 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.33-7.30 (m, 4H), 7.24-7.14 (m, 4H), 6.94 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 2H), 5.13 (s, 2H), 4.00 (s, 3H), 3.99 (br s, 2H), 3.52 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 2H), 3.46 (br s, 2H), 2.39 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 2H), 1.82-1.78 (m, 2H), 1.55-1.50 (m, 4H), 1.26-1.22 (m, 4H), 0.96-0.83 (m, 6H); MS(ESI+) m/z 610.2 (M+H)+.
